I am at the Inaugural National Gathering of “Slow Money” About 400 people have shown up to listen to a list of national leaders in this movement to find slow money to catalyze investment into the local food systems. Much of the discussion is focused between creating a popular movement with individuals investing modest amounts of capital and also to work towards major foundations investing instead of making grants. I am struck how much the challenges of finding investment for cultural enterprises parallels this discussion around local food systems.
Cool site, love the info. I do a lot of research online on a daily basis and for the most part, people lack substance but, I just wanted to make a quick comment to say I’m glad I found your blog. Thanks,
A definite great read…
